Your library is yours
You own what you put on your shelf: the books you list, your notes, your covers and your ebooks. We store and show them so the product works, and for nothing else.
Upload what you have the right to
Upload ebooks you own or that are in the public domain. Share an ebook with Anyone only when you hold the rights to do so. We remove files we are told infringe someone's rights.
Public means public
A public room is on the open web and may be linked to, listed on the Libraries page, and found by search engines. Mark a book private, or your room private, and it is not.
Behave
No harassment, no impersonation, no illegal content, no attempts to break or overload the site. We can flag, suspend or remove accounts that do these things.
Claude
The Claude link acts with your account's full permissions. Keep it to yourself, and switch it off from your dashboard if it leaks.
As is
Shelfy is a young product offered as is. We do our best to keep it up and keep your data safe, and we cannot promise it will never be down or lost. Keep your own copy: the dashboard exports your whole library as a zip.
Changes
If these terms change, the date below will.
